⛳️  Fun fact: Golf is that it is one of the few sports to have been played on the Moon. On February 6, 1971, during NASA's Apollo 14 mission, astronaut Alan Shepard became the first and only person to play golf on the lunar surface. He attached a makeshift golf club head to a soil-sampling tool and hit two golf balls.

The Moon's lower gravity allowed Shepard's golf balls to travel much farther than they would have on Earth. He estimated that his second shot traveled for about 200 yards, which is quite impressive considering the limitations of playing golf in a bulky space suit.

Shepard's lunar golf game added an unexpected and lighthearted moment to the otherwise serious mission to the Moon and remains a memorable and unique piece of golfing history.
